OKIDO aims to stimulate children’s curiosity and interest in science and the artistic process through producing a highly interactive magazine designed and illustrated by contemporary artists, scientists and illustrators.

To tackle the science of Plants, from photosynthesis to the vegetables we eat, in a way that appeals to young children and parents.

I created a healthy smoothie recipe whilst incorporating a story-like adventure to help engage the target audience.
I also incorporated a learning element by which the children could colour in, fill in the blanks and tick boxes. Within the adventure recipe, the learning outcomes included understanding characteristics of a banana, how strawberries grow and how to spell them as well as where blueberries grow.
